I’m sorta glad my mom was from the “real old-school”…I was taught that, I man is supposed to “court” you. You don’t take care of any man because, a real man can take care of himself.
I’m blessed that my dad was a real man who had 9 children and a wife and we never wanted for anything because, “foolish pride” wasn’t in his vocabulary. Which, by the way, is another reason for the new fangled bakery owners…too many women were raised without a dad around and don’t know what real men are supposed to do.
I see it all too often… women catching the bus to work every day except payday. On that day, her “boo” is suddenly able to give her a ride…give me a break…jeez. *dipping hand into the pond and taking the two pennies out*…hey, it’s a recession and the holidays are upon us..lol
